The 5 Instagram Apps you NEED!

March 5, 2019

If you have followed me for a while, then you will know that I am PASSIONATE about making my life easier in any way possible!

I LOVE any tool that can help me get more organised, more efficient and reduce my work time.

So here’s my Top 5 Apps for Instagram, that will make your social media marketing more streamlined, more effective and much more FUN!

The 5 Instagram Apps you NEED!

 1. Followers Tracker Pro

First, let’s address one thing that drives me crazy…

THE BOTS!

Those cheeky accounts that are using bots to get followers by following, commenting and then unfollowing.

So many accounts use them and although Instagram is doing lots to stop them, it’s still really quite annoying. This app sorts it all out!

There are lots of apps out there that track analytics and do similar things but this is my favourite because it’s so simple.

It’s pointlessly free (because it tells you nothing without upgrading) and if you choose to upgrade to see everything (all packs,) it’s a whopping £8.99.

Having said that…once you do, you can not only keep on top of those bots but the insights will show you a plethora of fabulousness!

From where your most engagement comes from to your most and least popular posts, to who you don’t engage with and it even has a secret admirers section.

It’s so interesting, a little bit curtain-twitchy and a lot addictive.

2. Square Fit

I have dabbled in so many editing apps over the years…this is my current favourite.

It has every variation of canvas size specific to each social media platform, which I LOVE! So should you want to change your Facebook banner, you can do it from your phone.

I love using it for Instagram Stories as it gives you so much more creative control over it’s final look. You can crop, edit, use and move landscape images and even add more branded text all from the app.

The only down side is that because it’s free, there’s lots of ads.

3. Mosaico

There is so much to love about this app! However, a word of warning first…it’s been having some tech issues and it’s rating has recently crashed.

I’m going to assume that it will be fixed soon because I can’t leave it out. So if you are going to pay the £5.99, maybe wait a few weeks.

This app allows you to visually plan your Instagram posts in advance by uploading and moving your images around to create the perfect grid. It allows you to save and keep track of hashtags, schedule your posts and manage multiple accounts from the same place.

I’ve used it for ages and have had no issues. When it’s working, it’s worth every penny!

4. Hyperlapse.

Video. Video. Video!

Video is still prioritised by the Algorithm, still gets much more interaction than a stand-alone image and can be used in such fun ways through your Stories and IGTV.

If you don’t have a time-lapse function on your phone, then you will ADORE playing with this. And even if you do, there are lots more speed options on this app…ones that an i-phone just can’t do!

It super-stabilises the image (better than apple!) and creates seamless footage.

If you are an artist, try recording yourself creating a painting. If you’re a florist, then create the perfect bouquet. The possibilities are endless! Get creative…your followers will love it.

5. Year of Colour.

Ok this isn’t an app…but it’s such fun!

It’s also a really handy branding too (even though I’m not sure it’s meant to be.)

I have talked so much about the importance of using ‘colour consistency’ on Instagram to create a seamless user experience and reinforce your branding message.

This site takes a snapshot of all the main colours you are currently using on Instagram (either for a year or month.) You will be able to gage pretty quickly if you are effectively branding your account or if your colours are all over the place.

You can play with the dials to get a few variables which are great to keep as a visual reference – either as an example of your perfect branding or if it’s waaaay off, to see if you can consciously refine it over the next month.

I hope I’ve given you a few ideas and if you have any apps you love, then do leave a comment below. Feel free to join me on Instagram HERE

Wishing you an awesomely instagramming week!
